In this talk, we’ll explore how to turn those constraints into opportunities, from understanding your light and soil to choosing plants that thrive, including edibles. We’ll cover foundational principles that help a garden feel intentional and cohesive, even at a small scale. You’ll also leave with practical tips and seasonal strategies to keep your garden healthy, productive, and beautiful year-round.
The basics of houseplant stewardship will be covered, including light requirements, watering schedules, fertilizing, repotting and troubleshooting. With so many species of plants that can thrive in your home, choosing plants to suit your needs will also be discussed.
Join UC Master Gardeners to learn about fun ways to connect with your garden through garden crafts. After the talk, take home cards describing fun craft ideas.
